Quick and easy braidout this week ☺️
I tried the @curlchemistry_official soft hold gel for the first time and I love the result.

It definitely holds the braidout style and smells amazing.

I wouldn’t use it for a wash and go on type 4 hair though but for twists and braids, yes!

- Definition: 5/5
- Hold: 3/5 must be completely dry to avoid frizz
- Shine: 5/5 my hair looks so healthy!
- Crunch: 1/5 no crunch which is usually a good thing but also means less hold - this was expected
- Price: R120 + R60 delivery for 250ml

I went into full zen mode here☺️

The attention to detail at Cove Spa is really what made this an experience worth sharing.

They wanted to know everything about our preferences from the type of music we’d like to listen to during the treatment, to the pressure levels we’re comfy with - all ahead of the massage.

And when I arrived, there were even vegan snacks - not fruit but house-baked cookies from the restaurant downstairs.

I got a 60min full-body massage called the Atlantic Ocean Fusion, which combines swedish and deep tissue massage.

Google: Cove Spa to see the treatment menu. There’s even a mom-to-be massage and treatments for kids under 12 ☺️

You could make a day of it and have lunch by the pool after.

Trying @ecostyle_za for the first time.

I had high hopes because I’ve seen many people with type 4 hair using this product and getting great results.

Acoording to Tiktok, you’re supposed to leave the gel open for a few days to get sticky and that’s when it works so I’m going to give it another shot.

- Definition: 5/5
- Hold: 3/5 my style lasted 3 days and I’m keen for longer
- Shine: 3/5 not really, after day two it was looking dry.
- Crunch: 4/5 very minimal but I don’t mind crunch
- Price: R99 for 236ml
